Balao Farms operates a large-scale swine production facility designed to support efficient, responsible, and sustainable hog production.
The swine farm consists of 16 operational buildings, with each building having a capacity of approximately 1,500 heads. This provides a total standing capacity of approximately 24,000 hogs per production cycle.
With an average of 2.2 production and harvest cycles per year, the farm has an estimated annual production capacity of approximately 52,800 fattening hogs.
The swine operation is supported by systematic feeding, water management, biosecurity, sanitation, and environmental controls to maintain efficient production and responsible animal management.
An important part of Balao Farms’ integrated approach is the utilization of swine manure and other organic waste as resources for renewable energy production. Through the farm's biogas system, organic waste is processed to produce biogas that can be used for power generation, helping reduce waste while contributing renewable energy to farm operations.
This integration of swine production, waste management, and renewable energy reflects Balao Farms’ commitment to developing a circular and more sustainable agricultural system—where farm waste is transformed into a valuable energy resource.
