Waste Management & Renewable Energy

At Balao Farms, agricultural waste is not simply treated as a by-product it is recognized as a valuable resource. As part of our commitment to sustainable and responsible farming, we have integrated a waste-to-energy system that converts organic waste from our swine and broiler operations into renewable energy.

Our swine waste-to-energy system has a capacity of up to 3 MW, utilizing organic waste generated from the farm’s swine operations. Through controlled biological processes, the waste is converted into biogas, which can then be used as fuel for power generation.

Our broiler operations are likewise integrated into our renewable energy strategy, with a broiler waste-to-energy capacity of up to 9 MW. By recovering the energy potential of poultry waste, the farm is able to transform what would otherwise require disposal and treatment into a productive renewable energy resource.

From Farm Waste to Renewable Energy

This integrated approach creates a more circular agricultural system, connecting livestock and poultry production with responsible waste management and renewable energy generation.

Powering a Sustainable Future from Farm Waste

Through this system, Balao Farms aims to reduce its environmental footprint, improve waste management, recover valuable resources, and lessen its reliance on conventional sources of electricity.

At Balao Farms, we are transforming agricultural waste into energy—creating value from every part of the farming cycle and working toward a cleaner and more sustainable future.
